Within home care service we have stated we can pick the most ideal candidate to meet the service user’s needs: In home care this is not always possible as people leave, there is sickness and sometime carers and service users don’t have a connection. If we state this, the service users can become upset if that carer doesn’t arrive, if it someone different. It’s important to open and honest with service users. That it may not always be the same carers who attend.
